We lost Robin Williams yesterday. He was brilliant and troubled. You and I did not know the man personally, but he has been part of amazing entertainment for most of our lives. I thought I would always see him in great new movies that make me laugh.
It reminds me that all good things come to an end, so enjoy it while you have it.
You can close your eyes and endure the bad things, but you can also close your eyes and rush through the good stuff.
You will only be able to enjoy a great movie for the first time once. Once you have seen it, you know the funny parts at the next showing.
You will only be able to be inspired by that song in that powerful way once. Once you hear it enough times, you will get sick of it.
You will only be able to park that new car in your driveway for the first time once. Once you get it home, you have to start changing the oil in it.
So enjoy your experience first time. Once you see it, hear it, or park it the next time, it may not be quite as sweet. And you may not get a new opportunity for a new first time.
All good things come to an end, so enjoy it while you have it. Carpe Diem.
